A Rustic Tag

Hello! Here is my next tag for The Funkie Junkie's 12 Tags of Christmas challenge, sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique. The inspiration came from Linda's amazing tag for Week 6. I was inspired by lots of aspects of this tag! I have tried to replicate the newsprint effect, the green stencilling, the tree, foliage, everything really! I didn't have any corrugated card, so I used my scoreboard to make a concertina effect with a piece of patterned paper.

I'm pretty happy with how it all turned out. Continuing my rustic theme, here is a Christmas wreath I made at a great workshop this morning.

Definitely helped to get me in more of a festive frame of mind!

I would also like to send my tag off to Di and Parsnip (hope he's recovered from the rum-soaked sultanas!) at Pixie's Snippets Playyground.

April x

  1. Wonderful tag April! Love all the detail you incorporated and the corrugated card works so well. Have you heard of a paper ribbler? It's used to create wavy paper - ha, just checked out the price of them online - to be honest you did just as well with the score board 'cos I very rarely use mine anyhow! And that there wreath is a beauty!

Parsnip has recovered thanks and sends you a white fluffy hug for asking after him :) And, I managed to package up the Playground prizes today and Len will post them 1st Class tomorrow - yours is among them!

    Di xx

    1. Thank you so much, Di! I read that as 'paper nibbler' (a role for Parsnip?)Hope you are feeling better - big hugs to you Xx

  2. April what a great tag and the background page is perfect. I love all the detail.

Your wreath is absolutely beautiful. Barbxx

    1. Thanks Barb! I loved making the wreath. We made them at a local florist's - it was great fun Xx
