52 CCT Stash Challenge

 

 

Hello! This week we have a stash challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. Our hostess Fabiola would like you to use punches or/and dies in the creation of your Christmas or winter themed card.

 

 



 



I was super lucky to get my paws on this Foxy Friends stamp set and co-ordinating punch that will be available to order from the new annual Stampin' Up catalogue that launches on the 1st June(exciting!!) I have combined a Real Red card with the new In-colours Emerald Envy (very Christmassy) and Peekaboo Peach.

I hope you will dig out those Christmas dies and punches. We are looking forward to seeing your creations!

Butterfly Aperture Card

Hello! Here's an aperture card that I have made for my Mum's birthday. I used Timeless Textures to stamp a piece of Whisper White card with a mixture of Peekaboo Peach, Daffodil Delight and Chocolate Chip. I then die-cut a pair of butterflies. I used SU's new Layering Squares to cut the aperture. The remaining piece was then given the owl treatment!

 

 I'd like to send my butterflies off to Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge - A is for Apricot and/or Aperture. I hope peach kind of counts as apricot! They are also fluttering onto Parsnip's nose at Pixie's Snippets Playground - Hello Di! (and Spike). Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend! April x

52 CCT Theme Challenge

We have a very cute theme challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week! Fabiola has chosen -

 

 

I've chosen an owl wearing his woolly bobble hat and a bunny wrapped up in a scarf. They are from Lawn Fawn's Critters in the Arctic. I have combined them with a sentiment from SU's Oh What Fun. We are very much looking forward to seeing your little Christmas critters! Have a great weekend, April x

Deep Blue Card Challenge

 

 

My goodness! Two blog posts in one day! Here is a rather masculine-looking card, made for Card in Envy's Deep Blue Card Challenge. The deep blue used here is Dapper Denim - one of the upcoming new In-Colours from Stampin' Up. I have combined it with the train image from Traveller, stamped in Sahara Sand. The sentiment is a Paula Paschual stamp. I hope you like it! April x

Envelope Punch Board Packages

I've been using my envelope punch board to make all sorts of different packages for my new Jamberry business. This one also has the very useful sentiment from Circle of Spring. I've also been making handmade thank you cards to go with my orders!

Here is my DT card for this week's colour challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown.

 

 

I used my Sara Davies' dies to cut some snowflakes from an old Christmas card. The sentiment is from SU's Snowflake Soiree and I have embossed it with pewter embossing powder. I hope you will join us and make a Christmas card with Fabiola's gorgeous colour combo! April x

My card uses an old SU hostess stamp set that I love. The cardinal on his holly branch is actually gold embossed, not black!

Flirty Flamingo Sneak Peek

Hello! Here is one of the Design Stamper cards I made for Telford's On Stage. The flower stamp is from Swirly Bird. I stamped the image in Versamark and then used white embossing powder on top. I used an Aquablender to make a watercolour wash of one of the new In-Colours, Flirty Flamingo (great name!) over the heat embossed image. I've added a piece of Emerald Envy dsp for contrast, along with the gorgeous co-ordinating ribbon and some gold sequins! I hope you like it!

I've been so busy with design stamping and launching my new business that I have been absent from the playground for too long!! So, I am saying 'Bonjour Beautiful' to Parsnip and Di over at Pixie's Snippets Playground!
