Unicorns

Hello! I hope you had a lovely Easter. Here is a card I made for my friend's daughter. It was her sixth birthday! I came across these cute unicorns here made by a German demonstrator called Dani. They are made from a combination of pieces punched with the Owl Builder (very sadly retiring) and the Fox Builder punches. Super-cute I think! Here is a little herd of them galloping across the grass:

We had some very nice weather just before Easter. Here is a photo from a lovely walk around the marine lake at West Kirby.

We also did some pottery painting. Here is my finished pineapple!

The unicorns are very snippet-friendly of course, so they are off to visit Di and Parsnip over at Pixie's Snippets Playground. I think Parsnip should be able to catch the pink unicorn for a quick trot around!!

Happy crafting! April x

CCT Technique Challenge

Hello! We have a technique challenge for you at Christmas Card Throwdown -

It's time to dig out those sequins and sparkles and if you're anything like me, stand there puzzling for a while about just which bit gets stuck where! They do look impressive when they are completed though and I am sure we will see some amazing examples of this (fiddly) technique :-)

I have used SU's Santa's Sleigh for the reindeer and the tree background. All kinds of sequins and glittery bits were also dredged up from the corners of the craft heap! Lots of fun to make (and shake!)

Have a lovely Easter! April x

Tie Dyed

Hello! This card was inspired by the sketch for this week's challenge at Global Design Project.

Such a great sketch! I used two of the stamps from Tie Dyed to create the background for the label. The row of hearts comes from Birthday Blooms and the sentiment is from the Watercolour Wishes kit. I used dsp from the Serene Scenery stack and some Bermuda Bay sequins to finish it off.

I hope you like it!

CCT Theme Challenge

Hello! It's a theme challenge this week at Christmas Card Throwdown. We would like to see your musical Christmas cards!

The musical part of my card is "Silent Night" from a piece of SU dsp. The village scene is a Penny Black stamp from a set called Gleeful and colouring it in with Copics was a lot of fun!

We are looking forward to seeing your musical notation cards! Happy crafting - April x
