This week's challenge over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown is perfect for me!
We have two furry little blighters and I have to say our Christmas experiences have been mixed...Fortunately they have grown out of climbing up the tree and knocking it over (they are just four years old now and were born on my 40th birthday!) They still like to bat baubles around and chew the decorations though.
I decided for Louise's challenge that I would have a go at creating my own digi stamp, so with some techie help from my husband, that's what I did. Unfortunately, I missed the middle of the cat's ears off, so needed to do a bit of strategic colouring with the old Pro-markers to avoid a 'backwards ear' look...I have added some holly leaf die-cuts that I have sponged with Old Olive ink and drawn veins on with a marker. The holly berries are rhinestones coloured with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities.
I hope to see your fabulous festive felines over at 52CCT this week. Here is a photo of our little fur-balls! April x
Wow April! Very inventive to create your own digi stamp! Love the photo of your little fur babies too. Mine is 8 years old now, but still loves to climb the Christmas tree! Have a great weekend, hugs, Gill xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Gill! Christmas tree climbing is a nightmare isn't it?! Hope you have a lovely weekend too Xx
DeleteApril, your little cat is fab and I did enjoy the story about them running up the trees!! Love your card and the digi you created - it's brilliant. xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Deborah! Hope you enjoyed your trip Xx
Deletelove your cute cat face - adorable card
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet kitties! Do you think the one is trying to tuck the other into the box to mail him someplace? You know, more food for the remaining kitty. Love your Christmas Kitty card and the fact that you designed it. I'm also tickled that there is a Christmas Kitty challenge!
ReplyDeleteHa ha! She would dearly love to post him somewhere! He is her brother and they have a bit of a love/hate relationship! Thank you for your kind comment about my digi! Xx
DeleteVoilà un chat très original, je pourrais peut être faire la même chose avec mon chat au prochain Noël... Biz
ReplyDeleteThanks Fabiola! I wish our cats would let us dress them up. Spot once wore a roll of sellotape as a hat, but that's been the limit. He used to enjoy being pushed around in a toy pram! Xx
ReplyDeleteLove your fur babies. Cats with antlers are a popular choice for this challenge, and I'm so impressed that you made it yourself! Wow! Beautiful colouring and the ears look great.
