52CCT Pick a Previous 2016 Sketch Challenge

Hello! At 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week we would like you to pick a previous sketch from 2016. I have chosen March's sketch:

To make my card I used a sentiment from SU's Peace This Christmas that I embossed with copper embossing powder. It doesn't really show up on the photo, but it's nice and gleaming in real life! I stamped around the oval in Sahara Sand and then backed it on a piece of This Christmas Speciality Designer Series Paper. I embossed the background with the Boho Chic embossing folder. Finally I added some linen thread and a few White Perfect Accents. These are really lovely and remind me of milk glass. They have a lovely opalescent sheen!

I do hope you will join us over there - we love seeing your festive creations! April x

Scrappy Owl

Hello! I think the Owl Builder punch was the first SU thing I ever bought and I still love it.

I make notecards to send samples of Jamberry nail wraps to my customers and the Owl Builder is great for creating 'scrappy owls' made up of bits of old dsp. All kinds of owl body parts end up in a small basket ready to be made into something interesting! It's a wonderful way of using up tiny pieces of paper.

Happy crafting! April x

52 CCT Theme Challenge

Hello! Our theme over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown is...

I had nothing to fit this theme, so some improvisation was called for! I already had a piece of gold foil that I had embossed and thought it would be perfect for making five gold rings (cut with circle framelits!) It was only big enough for four rings though, so I had to include a glittery ring too! The teeny tiny red bow was cut with a Waffleflower. It kind of looks like the Olympics...!

Hopefully you will have leaping lords and partridges in plentiful supply, and will be able to join us for this great theme! April x

52 CCT Colour Challenge

Hello! Here is my DT card for this week's challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown.

This cute snowman with his silvery nose is a 'From the Heart Stamps' digi. I have used lots of blue shades to colour him in with Copics. I do like his cheery little upturned face!

I hope that you will feel inspired by the other lovely DT cards and join us with your own 'shades of blue plus white and silver' cards! April x

Stripes

Hello! I'm on a bit of a snippet mission combined with a 'use those stamps you've never got round to actually using' drive...

This handsome chap is from a retired SU set called Zoo Review. I've also used a couple of snippets of old Stacked With Love dsp. The finishing touches include glittery washi tape, silver Glimmer Paper stars, sequins and a happy birthday sentiment from Clearly Besotted. I hope you like him!

My zebra is trotting off to see Parsnip at Pixie's Snippets Playground - freaky coincidence, Di! I made this card with a scrolled sentiment before I read your post!

I would also like to send my card to Retro Sketches, because I have used their fab sketch.

and last but not least, Cards in Envy where the theme is 'Stripes'. Happy Crafting! April x

52 CCT Sketch Challenge

Here is my DT card for this week's sketch challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. Here is Jacqueline's great sketch:

I have made a bit of a collage of a card with some Kaisercraft elements I had hanging around and a gold doily. The stamped tree is from SU's Festival of Trees. A bit of a Christmassy mish mash! I hope you will show us your interpretations of the sketch. See you over at 52CCT! April x
