52 CCT Pick a Previous Theme Challenge

Over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, we have a 'Pick a Previous Theme ' challenge for you. You just need to select a theme from the Archive tab. I have chosen Rudolph/ Reindeer from June 2014.

My Rudolph (he has got a tiny little red nose!) is a Hunkydory stamp. I coloured him with Copics and gave him a little diamante collar! Fussy cutting was an error. We nearly lost an antler!!

I do hope you will join us! April x

Peekaboo Peach Sneak Peek

Hello! As you will know from my last post, I was lucky enough to be selected as a Design Stamper for Stampin' Up's On Stage event in Telford. I will be gradually putting all my projects on here (there are twenty of them!) The projects above were made using the lovely new stamp set 'Swirly Bird' that will be coming in the new annual catalogue. It's very versatile - I love these stylised roses. Peekaboo Peach is a great new In-colour to work with too! Hope you like them! April x

Bird Postcard

Hello! I'm sorry I haven't been blogging much lately. I have missed it very much! I have been busy with lots of different creative projects in the last month or so. First of all, I was very pleased to be selected as a Design Stamper for Stampin' Up's On Stage event at Telford. It was a delight to work with a brand new stamp set and the new In-Colour card and paper to create twenty projects - a mix of cards, 3D items and scrapbook layouts. I will be posting all my samples here as we move towards the excitement of a super new catalogue arriving!

Secondly, I have launched my new Jamberry nails business. This really fulfils my need to have patterns on my nails whilst crafting! Please do visit my new blog - Lily Leaf Nails.

Finally, inspired by my crafty friend 'Too Much Glue' Sam, I have opened a tiny shop on Red Bubble. The design above was a postcard that I made for the Friends of the Williamson Art Gallery's exhibition, 'Extraordinary Postcards' in 2014. He can be found here - paperlilyleaf.

I'm hoping that things will quieten down a bit now. I have missed visiting all my usual virtual crafty haunts and taking part in challenges. My design team makes for 52 Christmas Card Throwdown have also been more last minute than I would like!

Hope you are having a lovely weekend - April x

52 CCT Stash Challenge

Here is my DT card for this week's challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown where we are using up some of our stash!

I have used an antique brad, combined with a Mint Macaron, Real Red and Smoky Slate colour combo. The stamped background uses a holly sprig from Tim Holtz's Christmas Memories and the sentiment is from SU's Oh What Fun.

We are looking forward to seeing your use of metal embellishments! Hope you will join us, April x

52 CCT Theme Challenge

Hello! Here is my DT card for this week's challenge over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. The lovely theme that Patricia has chosen for us is Christmas foliage. I have chosen my favourite - pine needles! I have used SU's Ornamental Pine for both the image and sentiment and have used Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand inks. I've also added a bit of lace trim and some Glimmer paper stars. The card base is the retired Baked Brown Sugar.

I have been feverishly getting ready for Telford which is very exciting. By the time this post appears the day will have arrived! I will have lots to report from there very soon! I've also been busy with a new blog - Lily Leaf Nails. I do hope you will join me over there too!

Happy crafting! April x

52 CCT Sketch Challenge

Hello! We have a sketch challenge over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. Patricia has chosen this great design:

I used some old SU dsp (Season of Style) combined with the more recent stamp set - Cozy Christmas. I layered the sentiment on a metallic doily and added some green sequins. I do hope you will join us at 52CCT with your Christmas creations. April x
