Pretty in Pink
Hello! Here is a card that I have made for the Cards in Envy Pretty in Pink challenge. I would also like to enter it in Pixie's Snippets Playground - Week 174.
I used SU's Saleabration vellum and the flower from the gorgeous Nature's Perfection stamp set. I coloured the back of the vellum with Promarkers and Copics and stamped the flower with black Stazon on some scraps of patterned paper. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted's Time to Celebrate Additions and the enamel dots are Echo Park. I really enjoyed making it, although it's not a colour scheme I would usually go for.
I am a complete sucker for party bags! I have been over-thinking them for years. Our daughter will be twelve next weekend, so I have had to make a rather more sophisticated party bag! These have mini nail varnishes, nail files, stickers and of course, some sweets in them. I just need to get them all done!
Have a great week! April x

52 CCT Technique Challenge
Hello! Over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week we have a technique challenge. Louise has chosen Triple Time Stamping - a lovely technique that creates amazing effects. It does call for some precision stamping - not my strong point! At least you can always use a well-placed sentiment or embellishment to hide a multitude of sins though!
For my card I have used a stamp set by Clearly Besotted called Pretty Poinsettia. I stamped the larger flower with Sahara Sand and the smaller one in Real Red. I fussy-cut an additional ponsettia to add a bit of dimension. I also added some die-cut pine sprigs and painted the centres of the flowers and the pine needles with Cosmic Shimmer. I do hope you will join us this week over at 52CCT, April x
I'd also like to enter my card in Crafty Hazelnut's Challenge Extra.

Birthday Cat
Continuing with a theme of all things kitty this week, here is a birthday card that I am posting off to a lovely friend tomorrow. It began with a tiny snippet of Rich Razzleberry cardstock that I managed to make a few sequins from using the fantastic Scattered Sequins die from Lil'Inker that I just love!
I then chose a row from the Make the Day Special Challenge which this month is tic tac toe.
I then chose a row from the Make the Day Special Challenge which this month is tic tac toe.
I decided to go with Embossing-Circles-Bling/Sequins.
I embossed a piece of pink Bazzill cardstock using my SU embossing folder and cut out a circle. Using the inlaid die technique, I placed a cute cat stamped with Hero Arts Playful Animals and coloured with Promarkers. I added sequins cut from Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie cardstock and added some real ones from the Birthday Bash mix. I quite like the combination of real sequins and 'fake' ones! The sentiment is from SU's Teeny Tiny Sentiments cut with the Word Window punch. I hope you like it! April x

52 CCT Theme Challenge
This week's challenge over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown is perfect for me!
We have two furry little blighters and I have to say our Christmas experiences have been mixed...Fortunately they have grown out of climbing up the tree and knocking it over (they are just four years old now and were born on my 40th birthday!) They still like to bat baubles around and chew the decorations though.
I decided for Louise's challenge that I would have a go at creating my own digi stamp, so with some techie help from my husband, that's what I did. Unfortunately, I missed the middle of the cat's ears off, so needed to do a bit of strategic colouring with the old Pro-markers to avoid a 'backwards ear' look...I have added some holly leaf die-cuts that I have sponged with Old Olive ink and drawn veins on with a marker. The holly berries are rhinestones coloured with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities.
I hope to see your fabulous festive felines over at 52CCT this week. Here is a photo of our little fur-balls! April x

I am a Princess
This lovely digi stamp is 'I am a Princess' from A Day for Daisies. I made this card for a little girl who will be four tomorrow. She is coloured with a mixture of Copics and Pro-markers. The background was embossed using a clouds embossing folder and I've added a few butterflies and some sequins for a bit of princessy bling, April x

Bunny Love
Hello! Here is a very cute digi from a Day for Daisies of a girl and her gorgeous, cuddly bunny. I have coloured them with Pro-markers which was pretty therapeutic! The background was stencilled on a left-over piece of Whisper White cardstock, using a lovely stencil from Dear Lizzy/American Crafts and Color Box Rose Coral ink. Have a lovely weekend! April x

52 CCT Colour Challenge
Over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week, our hostess Louise has a great colour challenge for you.
I loved using these colours! I made the stars by first creating a background using Gelatos and water (Iced Chai, Cinnamon and Iced Coffee). I then stamped this with Deep Red's Doodle Borders and cut out stars with my Framelits. I used the same stamp on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock which I adhered to a piece of Baked Brown Sugar dsp. The sentiment is a magazine digi that I have sponged with Sahara Sand ink.
I do hope that you will visit us and be inspired by the design team's cards. We can't wait to see your coffee and cream festive creations! April x

Something Fishy...
A very cute mer-cat emerges from the depths of the sea. This gorgeous digi is from A Day for Daisies. It is going to be my daughter's birthday card, but I haven't put a sentiment on as I think it may end up in a frame. Much more sparkly in real life, this sea feline has been coloured with Pro-markers and Cosmic Shimmer. Sequins have been added for fish scales and water bubbles. The background is a mixture of Tumbled Glass Distress Stain and Coastal Cabana ink.

Flower Fairy
I am breaking away from chocolate egg eating to post this fairy card! I'm certainly getting into colouring at the moment and I really love this fairy digi from A Day for Daisies. I coloured her with Pro-markers and added some Cosmic Shimmer to her wings. For the stamped background I used SU's retired Secret Garden and I've used Petite Petals for some extra blossoms.

52 CCT Sketch Challenge
Over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week, Louise has a fantastic sketch with lots of detail to get your crafting teeth into! It reminds me of patchwork and I made my card design up as I went along. I thought I was going to make quite a different card, but I ended up using lots of cool greys, blues and silvers. All my card was made from scraps - just like a real patchwork quilt!
I started off with some pieces of Eastern Elegance dsp and combined these with a panel of card embossed with the Northern Flurry embossing folder. I sponged the snowflakes with silver ink to highlight them. The stamped areas were created with Stampin' Up's Eye-catching Ikat set. I have also added silver Glimmer Paper and stars punched from scraps.
It was a really interesting sketch to work with and I'm looking forward to seeing all the different interpretations! Have a great weekend, April x

Easter Greetings
A card to wish you a Happy Easter! I made this using the very cute Reverse Confetti Cartoon Cuties stamp and die set. I love that egg box! I've used various scraps of dsp here - In-colour dsp (please don't go! I'm really going to miss these colours) and the retired Gingham Garden. I hope you have a lovely Easter, eat lots of chocolate and find bunnies hatching in your egg boxes! April x
