Party Animal

Here is a last gasp entry for The Friday Mashup. Who can resist farmyard animals with party bling? Well I can't, that's for sure! Here is a calf resplendent in her pink tutu (edged in pink sequins, darling!) and striped legwarmers. She is definitely all ready to party.

The cute digi stamp is from A Day for Daisies and I do think she is one adorable party animal! April x

52 CCT Sketch Challenge

We have a fantastic new sketch over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and here it is!

You can use any shape or embellishment for your card. I have flipped my embellishment to suit the prancing reindeer! He is a lovely Marianne die cut and I have added some glitter to his antlers and flank with a Sakura Gelly Roll pen. I cut some Stampin' Up Typeset Speciality Paper with a Framelit Label die, sponging the edges to create a vintage effect and stamped some tiny silver stars. The greenery is a Sizzix die and the holly berries are rhinestones coloured with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities. The sentiment is from Ornamental Pine and is cut using a Project Life die. Everything is stuck onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock embossed with the SU Argyle embossing folder.

I hope that you will visit us over at 52 CCT and share your festive creations. Happy Crafting! April x

52 C.C.T. Theme Challenge

The challenge over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week is to make a card using the theme of bells.

The retired Stampin' Up set Bells and Boughs is perfect for this challenge and I decided to make a suitably vintage style card to complement these lovely stamps. I have used a Crumb Cake card base with the Thinlit Circle Card die. I coloured the bell design with markers and added champagne Glimmer Paper stars and rhinestones coloured with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities. I do hope that you like my card and that you will join us over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown for lots of festive inspiration! April x

52CCT Sketch Challenge

Happy New Year!
I am delighted to have joined the Design Team of 52 (Christmas) Card Throwdown!
If you join in with the weekly challenges, the idea is that you will end up with a tidy pile of Christmas cards all ready to send for next Christmas. This is great for me, as I'm always scrabbling around at the very last minute looking for cards. I am very excited to be joining such a great team and I hope that you will play along with us.

Here is my card for the first challenge of the New Year. You don't actually have to stick to a star with this sketch, but I decided to use Stampin' Up's Many Merry Stars stamp set. I have stamped the image on Lost Lagoon cardstock using Versamark and then embossed it with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. The sentiment is from the Bright and Beautiful Stars set. The background comprises All Abloom and All is Calm DSP, and I have added a bow of Island Indigo Baker's Twine with a sequin coloured with a Blendabilities marker.

I hope you like it! April x

Christmas Colour Challenge

Here is my entry for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown November Colour Challenge. The colours to work with are red and green with either gold or silver. I have used the Stampin' Up set Cheerful Christmas which includes this lovely Nordic style design. I've coloured the stamp using Real Red and Garden Green markers and used Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities to colour the rhinestone red. A bow tied in silky gold ribbon is the perfect finishing touch! A really simple and straightforward card - I hope you like it, April x

Colouring Techniques Workshop

Join us for a relaxing evening on Thursday, 28th August at 7pm, in Bebington. We will be making four beautiful cards and learning a range of colouring techniques. You will have the opportunity to try Stampin' Up's new Blendabilities Markers - alcohol blenders specifically designed for blending and shading. We will also be using Blender Pens, Stampin' Spritzers and the lovely Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.

You really don't need to be Vincent van Gogh to achieve amazing effects. The fabulous Stampin' Up products will do all the hard work! This workshop is suitable for both beginners and more experienced crafters.

The workshop costs £12 and includes all materials except adhesive. You will also take home a dual-tipped Blender Pen (worth £2.98). During the evening, you will be able to see products from the new Christmas catalogue and I will be launching my seasonal workshops. All bookings are non-refundable. In the event of being unable to attend the workshop, you will receive the materials and instructions required to create all the items that we make during the evening.

Please bring your own adhesive. You will need a strong glue and dimensionals. Please let me know when you book your place on the workshop if you would like to pre-order adhesive. Multi-purpose liquid glue is £3.25. Stampin' Dimensionals (300) also cost £3.25.

Please contact me for any further information and for venue directions. Hope you can join us!
